Saturday Night Staff Activity

By: Katherine

On Saturday night we had a party for Erika Resnick.  We had a lot of fun things to do there. We also had a lot of fun with the staff.  We had breakfast food to eat there.  Then we went back to our rooms and went to bed. It was a fun evening. I wish it could happen again.

President Obama says ‘’we didn’t need a rating group to tell us we need a balanced, long term approach to defect reeducation” he said, ‘’my hope is that Fridays news will give us a renewed sense of urgency.’’

Standard and poor’s Monday downgrade the credit rating of dozed of U.S. government relented bone issue as officials for the rating ancey continued to defend their actions, which caused the stock market to plunge around the world.

Officials at Standard and Poor’s say they will indicate shortly how local and state government will be there decision on Friday to lower term U.S. debt from Auto AA+
Conclusion: I think if the stock market were not doing bad when the recession started than we would not had got into this ecominc mess.

Headline: Timothy Geithner Says at Treasury

Washington D.C.- Timothy Geithnery  has told President Barack Obama that he will remain on the job as the Treasury secretary.
The Treasury Department released a statement Sunday saying Geithner had informed the president on his decision to remain in the administration. Geithner is the only remaining top official on Obama’s economic team.

Conclusion: I think that Timothy Geithnery is somewhat a person on president Obama’s economic team, that agree on economic policy. I myself find that economics is a very hard to understand.

Headline: White House: No Double Dip recession seen

Washington D.C. – President’s Obama’s spokesman is discounting talk that the economy may be headed back into recession, deistic recent concerns of economists.
Spokesman Jay Carney says “there is no question that economic growth and job creation have slowed over the past half year.
But, Carney told a white house briefing “we do not believe that there is a threat of a double dip recession”
He blamed the earthquake and tsunami in Japan, higher energy prices, defiant worries in Europe and recently resolved uncertainty over raising American’s borrowing limit.
Jay Carney said “we believe the economy will continue to growth”
Conclusion: I think if we go into another recession that it will make it than harder for many American’s to find job’s, if our political leader don’t work together on both parties it will lead to an earthquake in our American society

Work Experience :) :) :)

By: Sara Korn

My work experience in the marp.  Awesome, great, fantastic, and good. I am so proud of myself for working in the marp.  I help a lot of sick people. I like checking things on my checklist. Working by myself is cool and fun. I am so helpful. The nurses and doctors are so friendly, nice, kind, awesome, and great. Ice for injures, hygiene keeping the marp clean and safe. Helping the nurses with paperwork. My experience at universal studios is going on the Jurassic park ride twice and seeing the show water world and going on the mummy ride and went on the tram ride and had lunch in the park.

Hi my name is Zachary Cohen my job at camp is working the ropes course every day.
I make sure that the campers are being safe and having fun. I help the campers put  the harness on.
I work the odyssey where the kids climb on and work as a team.
The alpine tower is a more challenging part of the ropes course.
The swing is really fun the kids get hooked on the rope then they get pulled high in the air then they start swinging.
I work with a really good team at the ropes course.

Hi my name is Jake Freeman and I’m a worker at the Camp Ramah blog. This is my first blog. My first blog will be about my job on sports staff. I’m in Ezra Staff with all my friends. During my job I work with Eli M. My job is to work with every Edah. I had the pleasure meeting some new and familiar faces while working. All the kids I work with are all well behaved. I hope you enjoyed my first blog.
I also have another favorite thing I like at Camp Ramah in California. I’m really fond of the Israeli dancing on Saturday nights. The music is also extremely powerful. It sends chills through because it reminds me of Israel. I also dance to the great music. The best part is hanging with great friends.

Yesterday, for my day off I went to Universal Studios. I had so much fun with all my Ezra friends. I went on every ride at the theme park besides one.  The Simpsons ride is really creepy. My favorite ride at the theme park is Jurassic Park the Ride. The drop on the ride is 84 feet. WOW!  The ride makes my heart drop so much. There is also another ride called Revenge of the Mummy. The ride goes backwards and forwards. It also mentions it is a high speed coaster. You really should experience these rides.

Yesterday we went to Universal Studios in Hollywood.  We went on many different rides.  We watched a water show that was really interesting. I really liked the show a lot. We saw a lot of characters. Then we went to Samantha’s house for dinner. We had pizza, fruit, salad, and juice. Then we hung around her house. We went left her house and went back to camp. We went on the tour bus and it made me very scared. Then we went to the Simpsons ride and mummy ride. We had a good time there. I want to go there again.

My Favorite Edah and Part of Camp

By Katherine Gerety

My favorite edah in camp ramah in machon.  I like machon because they get to go on a five day overnight as a group.  I would like to be in machon but that may never happen. Next year,  Machon will go on seminar to Isreal or Poland.  Then they will become staff. I will get a bunch of mud hugs from all of my friends in machon.  I wish you the best of luck as your camper year ends.

My favorite part in camp is the swimming pool and the Friday night services.  I like to cool down off in the swimming pool. It is cool, calm, feels nice. I also like to be with the whole camp on Shabbat  services.  I like the challah and the staff oneg. Shabbat Shalom!
